Hi!

Although someone clearly was missing here in Oradea, this weekend was really nice!!! I went to the cinema on Saturday, watching the great masterpiece of Gabriel Garcia Marquez " Iubirea in vremea holerei" - yeah, guess one which novel it is...A great movie, being based on a literary work (originally in Spanish), but of course an American production, with hispanic actors playing in English - that cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute accent;) and the unbeatable Javier Bardem as Ariza! On Sunday ( the so-called Duminica Floriilor) we went to the church (we means Marie, Lado & me) for the traditional mass. Many people dressed up in their best clothes for this special day, receiving the palm twigs and the priest blessing them, really impressing...First, we stood in the yard, but then we made our way through to the interior of the (pretty modern) church and could follow everything close-up. We listenend to the prayers and saw people kissing the image of the Holy ones. We also had an interesting conversation about religions: Protestantism, Catholic Church, and the diffferent Orthodox churches. After that Lado & me tried our luck with cheap shops, but unfortunately we weren't successful... After relaxing a bit, we met in the city and happened to meet my Romanian teacher again - and her cousin with his friend, both students from Cluj:D Had great fun with them and talked about interesting things with the guys - in German ( Cluj -  that means perfect Romanian, German and Hungarian!) Finally our friends from Arad (Hannah & Co.) came, Lukas, the other Austrian volunteer in Oradea, and we were all nations mixed together: Austria, Albania, Denmark, Gemany, Estonia, Portugal, Spain, Finland, Georgia and...Israel!!! Ricardos brother joined us later, too. And Monday, EVS work again... Had to drink looooooooooots of coffee to stay awake. :{
